Dance life in Zagreb – part II

Dance life in Zagreb – part II

Hey everybody! I’m Dana and in series of articles I explore Dance life in Zagreb 🙂

First of all, for my project I learnt more what social dances are, search for parties that are held in city constantly and of course, visit them! Social dances are generally intended for participation rather than performance and can be led and followed with relative ease. They are often danced merely to socialise and for entertainment.

Most social dances are partner dances. Under the termin “social dance” is understood a lot of dances like argentine tango, balboa, boogie woogie, zook, lindy hop, samba de gafieira, hustle, reggaeton, irish dances, etc. But in Croatia the most popular and spread are salsa, bachata, kizomba, rueda and cha cha cha.
