Protein pancakes

Hey! I am Levi and I am a volunteer from Romania at Urbana Mladez. I am here to work on a project named “Youth mobility – Cro – EU”, where we have the aim of helping you to find out more and more about opportunities regarding traveling at low cost and volunteering but also to present you different cultures by showing you stories, pictures, and why not food recipes.

In this article I will present you a fast and easy meal which will raise your energy level. This recipe is not a traditional recipe but it is linked to the “nations of the gym”. The gym is the place where I first heard this recipe, more precisely in Budapest, Hungary. As I traveled around, in every gym I was this recipe always appeared in discussions about nutrition. In conclusion this is an international recipe well appreciated by everyone who tasted it for its nutritional facts and flavor.

“You are what you eat” say an old aphorism. This is  one of my favorite breakfast recipe, and I am sure it will become a favorite for those who want to keep their lines and who are looking for a low budget fast and healthy breakfast. This recipe is simple and it gives you all the proteins needed to start a successful day.

For this delicious breakfast dish you need 1 banana, 2 eggs and jam or Nutella or something similar, but the jam and Nutella are optional.

So here is how you make yourself super simple protein pancakes!

INGREDIENTS

-1 banana
– 2 eggs
–  Jam/Nutella or what you like (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

– Mash up bananas in a large bowl
– Whisk eggs and add to banana paste
– Fry in a pan with a little heated oil or butter
– Put some jam/Nutella or what you like on it

There are also dozens of ways to dress them up if you’re willing to add a few more ingredients. A pinch of baking powder will make them fluffier, and a bit of vanilla or honey helps round out the flavor.

*I advise you to use a Teflon frying pan so your pancakes don’t stick and burn. If you believe your pan is not appropriate I advise you to melt a little butter and fry the pancakes on it.
